kk-electronic was founded on May 1st 1981 by Kai F. Pedersen and Knud V. Jensen. The main business idea was to provide industry with electrical technical solutions as well as complete control and monitoring solutions.
Windmill controls became one of several company specialities. In Denmark and abroad, we are seen as a pioneer within the windpower industry. Today, several thousand windmills across the world are operated by means of controls from kk-electronic.
1981: The factory located on Cypresvej 6 was constructed. The 1980s and 1990s saw several factory extensions.
1988: kk-electronic strengthened its competencies and added new areas of business through acquisition of Automata, located in Aarhus.
2004: Demex Electric Herning was acquired - nowadays one of the leading companies within the business of power distribution equipment.
2005. Circuit Electric was acquired - nowadays a division specialising in
process plant controls.
2006: kk-electronic Polska was extended to double capacity. Today, this well-functioning production company produces most of our control and power boards.
2007: DLK was acquired - in co-operation with Demex Electric, this is now one of the leading producers of distribution boards in Denmark. The main office was moved to the town of Ikast.
In spring 2008, a new concern structure was implemented. The parent company - kk-group a/s - was established, and all administration and concern management tasks are now handled by that company.
kk-electronic a/s continues to develop and market control systems within the energy and environment sectors as well as embedded electronic for industrial purposes.
A new company, ELOGIC a/s unifies all previous activities (carried out by Circuit Electric, Demex Electric and DLK) with regards to project engineering and production of control boards, PLC and SCADA solutions as well as power distribution equipment for electrical contractors, machinery producers and public institutions.
kk-electronic Polska takes on the role as concern production company.
kk-group is a joint-stock company featuring PKA as majority shareholder.
kk-group and its subsidiaries are members of Dansk Industri, Dansk Vindmølleforening and Danske El-tavleforening (The Confederation of Danish Industry, Danish Wind Turbine Owners' Association and Danish Breaker Panel Association.
